A Car Designer In My Dreams

Car design has been a passion of mine since I was 13. I started drawing cars any chance I got. At school when the lessons were too boring, at home when none of my friends were available to go riding bikes with, and before sleeping.
Soon after coming to Canada I managed to find a job working with a genius engineer working on a concept car in his garage that was meant to rival the lotus 7. (what you might now know as the Caterham 7) but due to some issues the development was halted.

During my experience there however I realized that car design is not really what I want to do with my life. I still enjoy designing cars, but the sheer amount of effort that goes in traditional car manufacturing and the little impact they make due to bureaucracy and regulations makes it not a worthwhile pursuit. I decided to switch careers to UI UX where my problem solving skills could have a bigger impact, on a larger number of people by solving real world problems.

That being said I won't turn down a job from Tesla doing anything design related at their company though. Elon? Franz? Are you hiring?

Some of my car designs:

McLaren Hatchback

I modelled this car on the iPad Pro with Apple Pencil with the uMake app in about 2 hours. One of the most funs I've have modelling a car. Mostly because it was the first time that i actually managed to do it.

Mazda Miata Dream Project

One day, I would like to be able to buy a car, put it in a garage, remove all the body panels, design my own, have them built, and put it together with some crazy aero-dynamic features. This project came from that obsession. I don't have the time or resources to actually do it now, but I can at least to the 3d modelling and practice for when I do.
